The Loyal Brotherhood of The Fender Coronado

One of Fender's greatest "mistakes"...they kept it going from 1966 to about 1974.
They were available in several models and EVERY color, plus a few special ones.

Coronado II
Firemist Gold Metallic (2/67) and Wildwood II (11/67)

Refin Lefty strung Righty in Surf Green (8/67)
Same 2 above in the back. Pic not the true color.

Coronado II Bass in Ice Blue Metallic. Recently on EBay.
Rare is not the word for this one.

SUPPOSEDLY a prototype.
I held this one and looked it over carefully and it does seem to be original. The Gold playing has been there since new...another one that needs a real explanation.

Fender did burst the necks on some of the earlier ones. I have only seen it done on the Coronado I. There was at least 1 with a Cherry red neck.
