la Cabronita club...clones welcome
did a search and didn't find a club for these little bastards so here's mine that I built up recently.
MJT body. white blonde, light relic
MightyMite neck. v shaped maple. tinted with Zinsser amber shellac then Deft semigloss clear lacquer.
Hipshot tuners.
Strat hard tail bridge.
TVJones Powertron pickup.
Warmoth tortoise pickguard.
500k pots and simple tone circuit with .022 cap.

Dude, you basically built my dream la cab... The only thing I would do differently is do an Esquire wiring scheme. ARGH, I hafta stop being a bum and build one of these!

Just finished her up! This was my first tele and first build. I'm extremely pleased with how everything turned out.

LA DIABLITA:

Body:
  • USACG 1 piece swamp ash with flame maple top.
  • Trans-red back, cherry red dye top with a slight burst.
  • Rib contour, contoured heel.
Neck:
  • USACG 21 fret 3A BEM with "funky" rosewood fretboard.
  • .850" asymmetrical neck profile, with 7.25-9.5" compound radius.
  • Clay face/side dots.
  • Finished in vintage tint satin on back, vintage tint gloss on headstock.
Hardware:
  • TV Jones Power'Tron Plus with "Greasebucket" tone circuit.
  • Wilkinson VS100G trem
  • Total weight 6.8 lbs

This is my recently completed La Cabronita inspired partscaster. Alder body, Surf green nitro (rattle can), Squier CV50 neck, Swing'O pickups from 'The Creamery'. Absolutely love it, sounds fabulous and plays great.

Here's my Cab clone I put together last year. No-name raw alder body (Reranch Surf Green Nitro), Gretsch Filtertrons, Strat Hard-tail Bridge, Fender Tuners, All Parts Vintage raw maple (ReRanch nitro tint & nitro topcoat). Was a lot of fun to build, and led to me just finishing up a Shoreline Gold Jazzmaster. I love seeing the great work everyone does!
