Yes - they ARE both Fireglo. Just shows how colours change over time!
sorry to use your shoot, fatmanstratman, but I have the same guitar...same year almost (guess mine is 2003)...

...and yes, they're keepers... and they have this good scent...

arpeggios sounds so better, so balanced on a rick...and put it on a voxAC30 on the verge of breakin' up (or over)and you'll hear a growl like an SG but with way more attack....

what kind of PU these guitars of ours mount ? I mean : are they single coils, semi-hum, or sort of P-90 ?
I wanted to mount one of them on my tele-neck (steve marriot already did that, with great sonic results) but I was scared of routing my tele, so ...

...and I'm scared to make any change on my rick too, it seems somewhat a blasphemy to me, so I still have the bridge plate, and I didn't mount the locking tuners yet...this axe has no tuning stability problems, but it's so easier to change your string with the lockings, but something keeps me from doing this mod....

Those are Ric single-coil High-Gain pickups, paisan.

Got mine 2 weeks ago and I couldn't be more pleased.
Searched high and low for somewhere within driving distance to play some 620s but there is no such place, so I took a deep breath, crossed my fingers and ordered a new one from Willcutt Guitars in Lexington Ky.

Can't say enough good things about those guys. For $100 more than what they're going for on da 'Bay, they set it up to perfection and I got the 5-year Ric warranty.

I'm a small guy and this is far and away the most comfy guitar I've ever played and I LOVE the sound.

Never spent this much on a guitar before OR bought one without playing it first, so it really blew my mind when I opened a box from UPS and pulled out the nicest playing guitar I've ever picked up.

Congrats!

The only authorized RIC dealers in North Carolina are listed here:

And I admit, that is pretty slim pickins'.

I'm the proud owner of three of these precious gems.
My name's Francesco, but it's Fran for all of you out there. I write from Italy and would like to learn more about ricks as I love them as women !!

I attached 2 pics with my Rose Morris 1998 and a brand new 330 JG.

620s

Hi,
congrats, it's a real beauty!
If you like the sound, probably you'd like it more with a couple of toaster PUs.
I recently upgraded my 330 and the difference is evident by far. And more, it gains value.
