2010+ Classic Vibe Thinline and Custom club

This is the place for new owners of the just released CV Custom and Thinline models.

The other CV thread got so big it would be a mess to combine these 2 new models so lets start a new club.

No reason to add serial #'s to this one that turned out to be a nightmare in the other thread.

Nice job Mark...and thanks for thinking ahead regarding the serial #'s....that was certainly cool, but poor Carzee (and whoever else helped keep that list updated!)

This Custom is gonna be hard to avoid.

I love my CV 50's tele, for sure. Are these new models being made in China like the CV 50? I've been following the posts, but have not seen it confirmed yet. I can't wait for your personal review. I am hoping for a 20% off coupon soon. I will most likely get a Custom and then maybe even the Thinline. I'm more attracted to this Squier line up than the Fenders now!

I had no idea the CV's would become so popular I really thought maybe 50-75-100 tops would enter their serial #'s on the CV 50's.

The list got so long the forum software cant show it all in 1 message so probably a better idea not to list the serials.

One reason I added the serials to that original CV thread was mine was so good I thought quality might change or they might change the specs and we could have a serial # breakdown of older vs newer ones. But the qualuty stayed the same np specs changed.

Really like the looks of the Thinline! Sound with the stock pups a good thing? It wouldn't take too much to fan the flames on this one.

Keep a place warm for me!

Mrs BoogerRooger (the voice of reason), has given the green light!

Don't think they've landed in the UK yet though.

this is about the most *realistic* GAS i've had in a while. i've been gassing over the 62 customs for years, but now the price point on these squiers is enough to make me pull the trigger. all i'm waiting for is a few good reports from the tdpri members.

Yep...drool worthy right there!

Golly that is very nice looking. Should the AlNiCo V's be a little hotter? Interested to see what the CV 50 folks say about this one...("The CVC")

Squier has a video in is facebook page.
You can see the real colour of the thinline. It looks a lot darker!

i think im gonna get the thinline and im gonne put some nice pickups in it instead of getting a fender thinline.

has anyone tried the squire thinline? if so how does it match up to the fender 69 thinline?

You might not have to change the pickups if they are anything like the CV 50's are. These dont have a cheap or toy sound they sound as good as the way more expensive Fenders do to me.

I love a bound Tele, I really do. I'd prefer blue to sunburst, but I'm certainly not saying no.

CV Custom vs. CV Thinline

Man, I may have to get one of those and drop a set of Bardens in there. As pretty as the CV Custom is, I already have a 60s Classic which I love. Geez. The double binding sure is attractive. But I think the CV Thinline is calling to me. My GAS fund is empty, though. Aaaarrrggghhh. CS

+1

Wish they had more color choices. But, the bang for buck factor is extremely high on this one. I'd love this in Daphne Blue. I wonder if this could be a way of getting one easily. Hmmm...

They are (as well all know) a great modding platform.

Thinline for me!

I've ordered a CV Thinline as I've never had a Thinline Tele and I've already got a Custom Tele partscaster. And that thinline sure looks like a player! A birthday present for moi :-) G.A.S. again.

I ordered a CVT today but it's on back order, so not sure when I will get it.

By the way, if anyone in the USA wants to trade their rosewood CVC neck for my maple CVT neck (when I get it), let me know.

It's yours Mark?
How do you compare it to the CV 50?
Congrats.

EDIT: forget. I just saw the other thread.
