Mine looks a little different since I installed a Parsons Green B Bender, a black single ply pickguard, a Seymour Johnson neck pickup and four way switching.

I never really even considered owning a Telecaster until I came across A Muddy in a store. Now I have one, and I love it.

BTW--I've only ever seen a Muddy in a store twice. What's up with that?

I'm joining the club. I bought a MW on a whim in 2004 and have been loving it ever since. When I bought it, I was looking for a good tele. I knew who MW was, and figured hey, why not, and got it from an online retailer. Didn't know how great it was until after I got it. I love the pickups on it. While there are plenty of other teles out there that would be cool to own, I see no need to ever buy another one.

I've had mine for a few years. Reversed the control plate for kicks, added compensated saddles and a black pg because the white one warped.

Blueblood,

I thought if I mentioned the club in that other thread you might find us.
Welcome aboard!
You are my Muddy Tele hero. I think yours was the one that pushed me
over the edge to get mine and for that I owe you a big THANK YOU.

I want join this club. Just one problem: I can't find a muddy! not for less than $650 that is. I let one get by on Ebay for $400 on MLK day. Still kicking myself.

MIM Quality control is sometimes non-existant, check out the pickguard shape...

Might as well give it a go... my first post that is. My MW Tele was my first Tele and I fell in love, so glad to pick it up new at a close-out price just as Fender discontinued this model. The paint finish is superb, this is a real beauty for a MIM, with an especially sweet neck. I was revved to take it all black: pick guard, control plate, six saddle bridge. What's with that super cheesey white single ply? But after I had all the parts and learned it was no longer being produced, backed right off and kept it totally original. Still think it would look very sharp in black-out mode...

What is the price range of a muddy water telecaster on eBay? (completed listing and buy it now) There's none on ebay right now. (sorry, I accidentally asked this same question on another thread before I found this current one) Thanks.
