Butterscotch blackguard club...

I want to see them, Butterscotch blackguards old and new, Fender or not and all the details you can provide of em...

I need it for inspiration and of course, we can't have enough showoff clubs around here,so shoot!!!!!!

After reading the blackguardbook, i'm a believer.
I just love butterscotch blackguards.
It so happens that i found two rattlecans of Butterscotch nitro whilst on holiday in France so i guess there's a blackguard or two coming up.
Just did a SX conversion wich has a real nice butterscotch for such a cheap guitar.

Here's my first one;

The body, neck and bridgeplate are original SX parts, bridge was made into a stringthrough and given stewmac compensated saddles, neck was undone of it's orange coat and given a nitro highgloss finish.
All the rest is new stuff, cts pots, grigsby switch, axesrus control plate, flattop knobs, wilkinson tuners, tonerider bridge pickup, Giovanni neck pickup, electro socket.

Now let's see yours.

cheers and welcome to the club,

Olaf

Yep, I had the opportunity to photograph all my guitars this weekend in good natural light so that's a new photo of "stripey"

Well, it's not a Fender, but it doesn't matter to me. I love it! It's my new Butterscotch Blackguard Logan Custom. May I join, sirs?

Northern Swamp Ash body
Nitro finish (thin!)
Duncan STL-1b Vintage Broadcaster bridge and STR1 Vintage Rhythm
Rude, raucous and raunchy. It's even sweet, if I want to be nice.

Man, I'm *loving* this thread!

Newtwanger, thanks for the pics of "stripey" (?) and the link to the Blackguard Builders Club.

Fret Wilkes, thanks for your pics as well, especially the one of your AV52RI and that lovely old 1983 Tweed Case.

And Paul (gvonpaul) I know I've said it before about your Logan, but I use four words to describe her: BEE-YOU-TEE-FULL!!!!

Not sure if it's butterscotch. It's a little darker, so maybe just scotch... :) But butterscotch was what I was going for. My favorite guitar.

Thinking about sinking a set of Bill Lawrence Keystones in it.

Here's one I did with Re-Ranch BSB. It's too yellow for me.

And this one I did with shellac that I tinted. I like the look of this better.

Glad to see that having a rosewood board doesnt rule one out

Heres my old Affinity, turned into a sort of blackguard Esquire.

Hotter pickup, wired so that you have Tone+Vol/Vol only/Straight to jack.
