'07 AVRI 62 Strat in oly white...

the funny thing is i never used to like the oly white...i was more of a sunburst fan but now that i got this baby...the color choice was accidental believe it or not...i cant look at other colors the same...

i love the mint green pick guard and the faded knobs!

I'm not sure if i consider myself to still own a Fender Strat!

I replaced the neck on my Strat with a USACG neck (with USACG logo), the pickups with Fralins and the bridge with a Callaham. At this point the only original parts are the body, knobs, pickup covers, neck plate, jack plate an most of the screws!

Can I play too ? '93 ebay buy . If the person that pawned this one is out there , know that it has a good home . Just made this one a player yesterday . Cherry body , 1/4 sawn Walnut/Madagascar Rosewood neck , bone nut , Callaham hardtail bridge and neck plate , 6230 frets , 7.25 radius , .870 asymmetrical neck contour , Fender CS 69 pups and true leftie pots . I have just begun to explore this girl's potential . Her name is "Mother Abagail" .

from left to right: squire bullet modded, 1986 squire strat, and 2001 MIM.

i just pulled out the squire bullet after not using it for like 4 years and i forgot how good it was for a squire.

Since no one formed a lynch mob when an SX was posted on page 1, here's my Strat, a Peavey USA Predator, which replaced my Fender MIM:

And thank you for the help.... I have been trying to figure that out but was afraid to ask. I was using the page url and not the url from the pic's properties.

As for LaGrange, you should stop in sometime. It is a VERY cool little town! I have lived here all my life and would NEVER want to live anywhere else!

My Newly Acquired SX SST LTD

I recently picked up this SX SST Limited Edition model used with some nice upgrades.
It includes Wilkinson Staggered Locking Tuners, Roller String Trees, and AAA Flame Maple Neck and fretboard. It plays and sounds great!

Here's the Jimmie, with a Glendale Chimemaster (second version, heavy trem ass'y) and hardened Callaham mount screws.

And white tuner buttons on the Gotoh split shafts.

Wuh???

Base plate on the Tex Mex bridge pup - pups are still stock on both Jimmies.
This is an MSN6 made maybe 2002, my old one I got first is a MSN7 and is more recent.
The PG date is all but gone - I might replace the PG with a Maize colored Allparts single ply. Not sure about the covers, knobs yet.

Your local Allparts dealer will have them, or can order them for you.

Should be the same price as the usual Gotoh split shafts.

For an AV 62, you can just switch the tuner assemblies and leave the bushes just as they are.

Hey Freewheeler! I have an 87 Mary Kaye 62RI. They do seem to be a rarity. Bought it new at Hoffmans in Spokane Wa. in 1988.

There is not a whole lot of info on these Mary Kaye models, some say they made 1000 of the 57 and 62s.

Me want in!

This is my main axe its a 1996 Squier. I tell you it has the best neck I have ever felt on a guitar ever. I upgraded to tuners to Kluson vintage style ones and put in a Fender standard bridge but thats just a stop gap until I can afford a 62 re-issue bridge and I also plan to put in 62 reissue pick ups. I like the look of the pickgaurd as its natuarly aged but I might get an aged one with a black trim as I love the look of that.
This is actualy an old photo about 3 or so years back its a lot more beat up now and yes the beating up is all natural from never having a hard case not me trying to make it look like Frusciantes strat as cool as that looks.

This is my other Strat its nothing special but I am having it as a project to do up. Usually I would just get rid of it when I have the money to get a better guitar but it was my first ever guitar so I want to get it up to gigging standard. It was used to be a rose wood Stagg to start but I put a maple neck on it (i might have to change it, the action gets higher as the frets get do so maybe the neck dosnt fit I dunno I will take it to a shop and let them have a look) The bridge is a floating bridge I think I cant remember my Dad brought that part as a present and the scratch plate and the hardware in it are all by the company Vintage. They work and get me by but again they are just a stop gap till I have the money to put in a real good bridge and im thinking EMG pick ups.

Mike, there's a serial number somewhere on the headstock of your MIM.

Either front or back, depending on model. Or should be.

First an M, then either an N or a Z, then the last digit of the year. So, MN8 is 1998, MZ4 is 2004, MZ9 is 2009 and so forth.

I recently bought a rosewood-necked MIM Strat in agave blue to go with my maple-necked surf green partscaster. After seeing your guitar I think I'll swap the necks over, that green/rosewood combo looks much better than green/maple. I'll post pics as soon as I can!

I will, next month.

I've all but exceeded my allowed bandwidth. My pictures will go black next week, I assume.

But search the "Chimemaster" on the TDPRI advanced search engine. You should find half a dozen.
