Mid 90's Godin Acousticaster.

2004 or so Godin LG-90 in Dark Gold. I removed the black knurled knobs, and put on some Gibson Speed knobs.

Everyone needs to own AT LEAST one gold guitar!!

Just swung a trade for a mint condition Belmont in the "black wash" finish. It weighs a ton, so I guess I'll be sitting down with it most of the time. It continues my quest for a Canadian theme in my guitars.

Nice one, Mike. I didn't know about this line in the Godin family. It looks very SG-ish to me, but with some nice subtle variations. I like the idea of the lipstick pups in the neck and middle positions combined with that Seymour Duncan 59 humbucker in the bridge. I like the look of the “Black Wash” finish of the body with the “Nordic white” pickguard. It’s contrasting but complimentary all at the same time. I must confess, though, I don’t know what an “Ergocut Rosewood fingerboard” is.

Me neither, other than it's a superbly well dressed fret job on a very nice radius board which is better sanded than most. Whatever, it plays great. Lots of tones too.

I've got four of them - two LGs (P90 and humbucker), a Radiator, and an SD bass. They were my favorite guitars ... until I got my Telecaster. But I still like them a lot.

I'm down to one Tele again (MIJ Aerodyne) after trading a Thinline for a Godin Acousticaster. The Acousticaster being Tele shaped might be some consolation.

The Acousticaster is a great TV/couch guitar. I almost never plug mine in.

Question about the Multiac, I haven't got to play one yet. But I play with the guitar over my left knee classical style, it looks to be as if the inputs on the Multiac would be in the way.

Can't answer that directly, but that would suck. I play with my guitars on either knee, depending on comfort. style, fatigue, etc. I'd hate to have those cords directly in the way, and some electric cords do come close sometimes.

Btw, do you use a strap as well? I do and I don't.

I found a vid of a young russian guy playing classical on one he had a very extreme angle over the left knee, I think it's workable. I might have to get a little footstall instead of the 100CD cake box I sometimes put my foot on. It might be a case of using right angled plugs.

I don't use a strap while sitting my straps are all too long for that.
I don't think I've ever had a strap on my acoustic in the 14 years I have it.

I love Godins! I think they are probably one of the most underrated Guitar brands out there...which is good for us folks who like to buy them of course!

Here's some of my herd...

Acousticaster #1

Acousticaster 12 String

Soldiac

LG SP90

Flat Five X I honestly wanted to love this guitar. It played beautiful and I could even over look the scratchy pots at times but in the long haul I couldn't live with those Seymore Duncans. Special Special and a Special Special Special. At the time I had two Tophat Club Royales so I would run the guitar pickups thru the 2x12 and the piezo thru the 1x12 with a 1x12 ext. cab. The acoustic side would warm up the sound but the SD's by themselves I thought were dull and lifeless. The thought of swapping them out well as fast as I took off the access panel off the back I put it back on once I saw what would all be involved. I didn't need the hassle! I would love to have another Godin someday and I'm leaning towards the P-90 loaded Kingpin.

Bought a used Glissentar on eBay to go with my LG P90, LG HMB, Radiator, and SD Bass. Haven't got it yet. The great fretless experiment is soon to begin ...

Also bought (also haven't received) an A12 neck with broken truss rod. I have vague plans to mate it with a Tele body.
