I'm having an amber blonde Tele built (more or less his standard with a vintage 3 saddle bridge). I play indie/ rock sort of music so he's going to wind the pups with a bit more "gusto".

Let's see, where do I begin to profess my deepest appreciation to a true master of his craft? And I might add a Scotch lover!

Here in the custom build department?

or maybe here in the custom paint department?

Those certainly qualify! But the most important of all is here in the FRIEND category! One of THE NICEST people I have ever met is Mr. Kirn.

Funniest damn thing I have heard in a long time.....I want to know when you find time to eat? Seems like your either building or answering some silly email from one of us overlyexcited clients all the time....

Do you have one of those double beer hats with a funnel so you can work and get calories at the same time

Arlo,
Should have him build you one and match that bottle of scotch. There's this really cool mandolin builder (Old Wave's Bill Bussman) that was sent a bottle of bourbon I believe and cash to build a mandolin...he matched the finish of the mando to the bottle perfectly. Looked so good together. Always thought that was a cool idea as lots of those liquors have really cool subtle colors. I'll see if I can find the pick.

Ok,
Here's the pics. Would be so cool to have an instrument matched up to a favorite drink like that. One day...

I'll jump in. I got lucky and scored a RK T style of off Craigslist. The man himself helped confirm it was authentic. It's the first guitar with a big neck that I could actually play without my hands cramping. Needless to say, it's become my #1. Can't wait to have him build me an S style. Now if I could just learn to like Scotch.......
