Yeah, that's what I was afraid of!

2009 CS SG Les Paul.

This is my second 61 RI, this is an amazing guitar all around. Very happy with this purchase.

To those of you using the Maestro's, how do they compare to a Bigsby? I really dig the look of them.

Yanked mine right off. Not as much travel as a Bigsby, fairly unstable tuning, thinned out the tone, and reduced the sustain.

It is funny how we can have such different views on the same gutiar. I agree about the bigsby and travel, but the Maestro tremelo and how I use it is just fine. Both of my Maestro's have stayed in tune every bit as good as any bigsby I have ever had. I think they help with the tone as well as sustain. Google it and you will see some people love them and others dont. Nothing new in the guitar world.

My experiences have only been with vintage units, I have never played a RI Maestro.

Got three of them.

2 Gibson SG Classics (my favorites)

1 Gibson SG 67 Special Reissue guitar of the month they did a while back (haven't even taken the plastic off the pickguard)

Soon I'll get an SG Standard and if all goes well there, I'll get a second one later on, maybe in black.
