Peavey Guitar Owners Club...
How many Peavey guitar pickers are there here?
Here's my T-60 that I bought in a fit of nostalgia to replace the one I had as a teenager. ![]() Me at 14 playing in France (sadly the amps weren't ours!).

I've got a Leaksville Firenza Soapbar and two T-15s. I'll get some pics up soon. I only get about an hour a night on the internet during the week.
I'll probably buy a Jerry Donahue Omniac one of these days, and maybe a HP Sig. |

I have more Peavey guitars than I do Fenders.
From oldest to newest: Milestone 6 (1985), Falcon Classic, Foundation Bass, Generation Standard, Generation S1, Generation S2, Generation Custom, Generation S3, Cropper Classic, Raptor Plus TK, Predator Plus (KPP), Firenza JX, Soapbar Firenza, Firenza AX, Generation EXP Vintage (S-H), JD Omniac (2006). I have at least one of each... My current favorite is the Omniac. It's one of the most expensive Peavey guitars I've purchased, but they seem to be holding their value better than most. |

My two S2 Genny's:
"Blue" was born in Oct '89 and "Amber" was born in Jan '92 (according to Peavey support). I acquired these from a well known local musician here in "Lost Wages". Both have been played professionally on stage although they had been in storage for quite a while. "Blue" is the real road dog here. Its Kahler has been locked down and a standard nut installed. The Genny S1's and S2's (not sure about the S3's) sold for over $1000.00 in their day. They do pop-up on Ebay every so often and seem to fetch from $300 to $500 plus shipping. Definitely one of the most under valued guitars around. Their quality, action and sound is every bit a $1000+ guitar of today and then some. If you come across one, grab it, you won't regret it. It's a Tele on steroids (with Bartolini designed active pickups) and it's MIM (Made in Mississippi) http://s664.photobucket.com/albums/vv4/Aturach/S2/ Aturach |

I've been thinking for a while about trying to find a T-60 as a birthday present for my little brother. Such a gift is a lot more than we usually do in acknowledging one another's birthdays, but I thought it would be nice to reunite him with his former PV. Sadly, the A/C is going out on my wife's car, and so other concerns will probably nix the idea, for this year, at least.

If it has a maple fingerboard, it is Vietnamese, not Korean, at least according to what I heard from Peavey at the time... I don't know how many people who were involved with those are still working at Peavey. I still like 'em, I've got a couple laying around. Great guitars that you can find for next to nothing... Reminds me a lot of the T15 but with slightly more modern accoutrements. Here's another pic... I call this finish "Root Beer Brown" but I think Peavey calls it "Black Metallic Sparkle"...

I got a Peavey Generation EXP the other week.
It was in fairly bad condition when I got it, it had been covered in sticky back plastic and stickers, the electrics didnt work as the one of the pots was broken, and the top nut was missing. Also the body has quite a few sctaches and dings. ![]() I originally planned to use the neck and pickups for something else, but I stuk a new bone nut on and widened the string spacing, slapped on some strings, and played it for a bit. Well the neck is superb, very easy to play, and those two single coil pickups have a great tone. Also it is pretty light and comfy to play as well. The humbucker was OK, good for noisy stuff, but I thought I'd replace it with a hottish tele style one I had lying around. Trouble is the original humbucker bridge is wider than a usual 6 saddle, so I had to fill a couple of screw holes, and the humbucker rout shows a bit either side of the narrower 6 saddle. But I then replaced the pots, rewired it, and its a nice sounding guitar, with a very playable neck, and gives me some stratty sounds without it being a strat! Oh, I'm waiting on a 5 way SuperSwitch to drop into it, to get the series setting between pickups. Cool guitars these Generations
