It sounds amazing and plays sooooo nicely. I am still trying to get my head around the value of Bob's guitars. I had Bob set it up with a D'Addario 11-49 set. That is as heavy as I will go but it also allows for lighter gauge sets as well. I do my own neck setups but Bib's was dead on the money, including the intonation.

And your Logan does indeed have a great look. To me, the nitro, no fillers approach is the way to go, both for look and for feel.....
Thanks Larry! Bob definitely builds a player's guitar.

Hi Guys,

Here are some of my fav Tele players:

For Jazz Ted Greene, who says you need an archtop to play Jazz:

For R&R Richie Kotzen. He is playing a Fender Richie Kotzen Telecaster (made in Japan I believe) and loaded with DiMarzio pickups.

Danny Gatton for an all-around player:

And of course Roy!

Just one more from Roy:

There are more but these will do for a start.

:)

Hey Tele-man, (comma for Tonemonkey), no apologies necessary. I didn't fare well with punctuation in English class. Anyway Good choice you made on that pearl pickguard.

Does the same for me Toney and I've only noodled with a bass for about 5 minutes many moons ago. About 35 years ago I tried to buy a sunburst Jazz bass off my best friend's older brother. He just happened across it, didn't play AT ALL, so I offered him $30. He wanted $50 so that was the end of that.

Yes, Joe, thanks for posting that vid. I really enjoyed the tones you coaxed from those pups, the lead licks through the neck pup just sounded so bluesy to me.

Thanks. There is something about great guitars (i.e. pickups) and tube amps that approaches heaven for me.

I will get some overdriven tones posted a little later.

Regards,

Joe

I'm taking a break from "house work" to check in here. And by "house work" I mean demo work to get ready for the plumbers and electricians to come.

It seems I failed to comment on Sanford's Logan Custom Jazz Bass. And since the pictures are on the previous page, here's one of them to keep the image in our minds.

Sanford, you talked about the possibility of some of us laughing at it, was that prospect in your mind due to the color choice? Certainly it wouldn't have been about the bass itself.

I don't know basses myself, but your having more than one Logan bass certainly is understandable. Especially to those of us that already have more than one Logan Tele (or Strat) and are dreaming and GASing for more.

Anyway, nice choice, color and all.
