Pamela, would you please elaborate on this statement?

........ "Nash does not relic guitars any longer, nor does he sell relic parts."

I'm curious as to whether he's totally out of the relic business or not. Thanks

I think what "Pamela" is saying is that you can't send Bill a guitar to relic. He only builds for dealers and you have to buy from dealers now. Which sucks, but what can you do?

Welcome Hudpucker,

Nice Nash you got there. There is a similar one on page one. That color is one of the more interesting colors I've seen. I love it, but add more details if you would.

Guy's I just stole a great Idea from LGObearean, He wants his Logan Custom thread to contain sound bites from the guitars listed when possible. Now that would most satisfactory. Capiche'?

Guy's I've been busy with moving to Corpus and lot's of career change obstacles and haven't been in the forum for awhile. I noticed the new post's to the thread and was most impressed.

Fullertonfan, that is one lovely hula girl you have there. The guitar is awesome as well, I'm going to have a friend build one for me in that color range with fatback neck and 6105's on maple board. I may go for more of a blueish tint to mine. Daphne blue or maybe even a green surf green hue.

Anyway, welcome and nice axe...

Downontheupside,

Man...dude you got the double trouble going with those guitars. Very nice, it reminds me of the twins I,ve never hooked up with, but would if I had the chance. Don't leave them alone on the curb or at the bar. Or ol' bluesmanmartin will have his way with them.

Martin...

Why soitenly...

It's an '09 TC-59 with ash body, Fat 'C' neck (0.85"-0.93" 1st-12th fret), and weighs a mere 7.0 lbs. Has the usual Lollar Vintage T pup for the neck and the Lollar-Nash bridge pup (a slightly tweaked Special T). Nice, beefy tones.

I will probably opt for either a Vintage T bridge or something from Don Mare since I'm not a fan of overwound pups.

I'm quite a fan of this particular guitar, however. Bought it on a strong recommendation from a buddy who LOVES LOVES LOVES his Nash T-52 and said that I wouldn't be disappointed with a Nash.

He was right.

I added this text to explain to newbies how to post pictures and whatnot.

How do I use albums?

As a member, you can create Albums of images that are linked to your public profile. Albums can be created by visiting the User Control Panel, and clicking on the 'Pictures & Albums' link, and then clicking on 'Add Album'.

Each album can have a title ('Joe's Holiday to Nepal'), a description ('A bunch of photos from my recent adventure') and can be of three different types: Public, Private or Profile.

Public albums can be viewed by anyone
Private albums can only be viewed by site staff (moderators, administrators) and your Friends and Contacts (info)
Profile albums are viewable only by you. However, you can use the images to customize your public profile (info)
How do I upload pictures?

Once you've created an album you can upload images to it. Simply view the album and click on 'Upload Pictures'.

You'll have the option to give each picture a caption, and to set one image as the Album cover, which will be displayed on the public profile. To delete an album or edit the title, description or album type, click on 'Edit Album'. To delete an image, or to edit a caption or change the album cover, click on 'Edit Pictures'.

All members who have access to your album images can comment on them, in a similar way to Visitor Messages (more info). You can delete any image comments from your albums, and report inappropriate messages to moderators.

When you have uploaded a picture, you can place it in your posts by using the BB code text that is displayed below the image when you view it at full size.

hudpucker, my Nash has the "Rio Grande Tall Boy" in the bridge. It's rather strong and noticeable kind of like Momma's biscuits after a hard day in the field where I fight for my meals. So I'm gon' done keep it and all. My next Tele/Esquire willl have a fat neck though, and more country traditional fretboard.

Have fun with that Nash....

Bought my first Nash Yesterday....

I have never played a guitar that inspires me to this degree.....I've played, owned, and sold many guitars, but my T-52 smokes everything. I originally set out to find a "backup" for my G&L Asat Classic....but after playing the Nash, it completely shuffled the deck for me. Now my G&L is the "backup".

The Chi in this guitar is overwhelming....I have named it Bruce Lee. It's as if it's design, and purpose are in complete unison.

question you Nash owners. First i want to say they look awesome and I bet sound super cool.

anyway-

Do you baby these guitars, being super careful with them, like the way lots of guys do with any quality instrument? you know, are you scared of getting a scratch or ding? i have no reliced guitars except for what i myself have done to my gear through normal playing. i've got to say i like a guitar more when it's no longer cherry and it shows some character.

I think that's the beauty of relic'd guitars. First, they feel played in and secondly, they don't have to be babied. I'm down to one Nash at the moment and several Danocasters. Great stuff, for me.

Do you baby these guitars....

I would not use the word baby.....I do and will cherish the guitar, but I wanted a guitar I can play in clubs without worrying about it. The fact that it is rough looking and aged is cosmetically fine with me. So if I get a ding...so be it. Though if this guitar was clean as a whistle, I would have still bought it. The aging on these guitars is superior to other aging that I have come across...in regards to look and most importantly, the feel. My Tele feels like an old pair of jeans. I liken the experience to a woman.....the nice looking and proper kind are fun for a minute, but what you really want and need is one that is nice looking and dirty(possibly filthy). That is the best of both worlds.....that's my Tele.

Um. To extend the analogy some, so it's okay if she got that way from her experiences with someone other than you? ;)

good and valid point.....

lol.....Everybody has a past, the here and now is more important as well as the experiences we bring and move forward with. I don't have time to wait 40 years for a new guitar to get worn in. I would be 75 years old. Women or guitars will probably be lower on the list then. Like Mark Twain said "youth is wasted on the young". To have something "new" and "worn" at the same time.....it confuses the mind....I think it just adds to the Zen nature of my Tele....It's a paradox.

Welcome to the club ltrain.

I might put my Nash on the auction block. I've ran into some tough times and may be looking to sell.

Thanks.

I hate to hear about your tough times, but you do what you have to do. I have bought and owned many guitars over the years, and I've bought and sold them for many reasons. In the end they are just guitars.

Filthy women and worn in guitars, what more could a guitar player want? Old whiskey, cold beer?

I like where your heads at....

It's the simple things in life that make guitar players happy. The only thing I would add to the mix is pizza.....or maybe cold fried chicken. You put all of those together, and I think you've got somethin'.

Very nice csapo, that's one purdy guitfiddle. That looks like the very first one you see on the Nash website when the pictures are loading and the sound of the camera firing three times. Congrats and keep on rockin'

Fellows, I have a sad note to add to the thread. I have sold my Nash. The guy who bought it is a great guy and will care for and cherish it just as I did. I will soon again rejoin the club, but for now I am Nashless.

I still have my EJ Strat and plan to develop a country twang style with the EJ at the core of that. It's funny how even with a different type guitar your tone is very similar once you develop a style of your own. Not actually my own, but influenced by all the usualls and some not so usual.

Keep the club alive and I shall return.

Coming soon!!!

Hi Nash owners (and x-owners... sorry bout that Martin )

For me I have always (I know big statement) regretted selling any musical instrument and have never regretted any purchases. There has been stuff in the pawn shop over the years but I have always been able to get them out in time. But times are tough now... I am working twice as hard for half the money... things gotta get better!

Expecting delivery of mine soon... always knew I would own one - a complete awesome guitar in every way. I really can't wait... I will post a photo when I actually have it in my possession even though I have photos of it. It is a S-series S-63 and not a T or E-series, hope a photo is welcome here at TDPRI.

Just thinking about this guitar makes me smile. LPB BTW... oh yeah

Michael

Any Nash is welcome here, welcome to the Nash Club. I started this thread and am Nashless, but feel responsible to check on it from time to time. So post those pics and keep The Nashees informed.

Does anyone know which Duncan pickup is in the Nash JB esquire model. Just wondering if it is the custom shop JB? That would make sense but who knows?

I can't believe that someone else has almost the same guitar. What are the chances? Well here I guess they're pretty good.
