Yes pics please, bodyelectric.
I'm thinking about doing the same. I can't afford to be a real member of this club. By the way, can anybody tell me if the Tele Plus Mk1 has 250k or 500k pots?? And what is the stock wiring of the TBX? Cheers! |

gatc, you wont regret it. i used 250k pots, because it really helped level everything out soundwise. i mean, 30.5k resistance v. 12.3? haha. well, here it is. i can't put into words how happy i am with it.

Looks great!
I think I will also go with the Gotoh bridge. I have no idea how SzechuanKing got hold of some original pickup ring without buying the guitar! So, did you put a TBX pot on that MIM body? Or does it sound fine just with the regular pot? |

Question....I own a blueburst US Tele Plus with maple neck. I bought it new a FEW years back. I've played Country, Gospel, Jazz, Rock, etc and it outperforms on all levels...except one. I want to add a Bigsby Tremolo and have seen them on the Tele Plus's and am looking for any info (pro or con) to make this a reality (and in my opinion) the ultimate guitar. I'll try to post some pics in the near future. Thanks! Austin

Check this out:
http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...=STRK:MEWAX:IT $916 seems low for a '96 deluxe plus. Did someone get a great deal or are they generally selling in this range? |

and yet another upgrade!!!
Before
After Finale Finally i was able to get the humbucker ring..... this has been about 8-9 year project for me, but i'm glad i got it done the way i wanted it..... i started off in 2002, the tele is a 2001 AM that i converted. I learned a lot in the process from bodies to pickups etc...and i know now what to do next time around.... YES!, i do plan to make about 3 more of these teles, i've got the pickups now, the bodies i plan to get made either by myself or my brother, the rest is no issue for me to get...i wish i could have said that years ago when i kept coming up against walls off to the next tele plus projects, when i get time off course cheers

Do all tele plus models have a toggle switch? My friend has a tele with 2 lace pickups, but it doesn't have a toggle. He's been trying to identify it for a while, he thinks it might be a tele plus, but he can't track down the serial number.

Finally, a club I can join!!
I have a V1 '91 or '92 blue burst tele plus deluxe. Got it new in '92. It has a N1 serial, which can be either from '91 or '92. But I like to say it's a '92! It is still my #1 guitar and would never part with it! I even like its heavy weight! I've never seen one exactly like it, even while browsing this thread, but there are some very close matches! (brandonbq's one just might be it!) The original pickguard was 3-ply white. I put a 3-ply black one instead and it looks even sweeter! I use the dual-red pick-up with distorsion to play metal, and the blue neck pick-up for clean sounds, or with fuzz to play some sick stoner rock! ![]() ![]()

Crappy sound quality, but here's my Tele Plus V1 played through my buddy's Tech 21 TM120.
