eBay if probably the place to look for one.

I don't know the actual colour name - I call it Transparent Blue.

Probably somewhere between US$1200 and US$1700 I think. Maybe more if someone is desparate to have one.

Agreed, I've seen a few of these on Ebay over the years, and are probably the rarest of the Tele Plus models.

Hello all-

I recently bought a 1995 V1 Tele Plus and was hoping for some general information from the experts. There are a few things about this guitar that are hard to sort out.

The first is that it has a black body, but there are metallic green/blue specs in the finish. It looks like your basic black from 5 feet away, but when you get close, the metallic is really strong. I haven't seen another like it after lots of google image and guitar listing searches. Is anyone familiar with this finish? It's really cool!

Also, the tuners are locking Schaller types similar to the V2 models and the V1 tremolo models- though this guitar is a fixed bridge type. Has anyone seen this before? Maybe a crossover thing from V1 to V2 in 1995? They look original to the guitar (i.e. there are no obvious markings around them to suggest a change was made.), though they have no Fender markings on them.

Also, the pots actually were gone on this guitar when I got it. So I bought a new TBX tone control, but it is a split shaft pot. I got a brass sleeve to convert to solid shaft, but I was just curious if the original TBX pots for these Teles were solid shaft to accomodate the dome knobs and set screws?

Thanks for any insights- cheers!

That finish was called "Mystic Black" in the catalog, I had a Strat plus in that finish, and in the right light it was actually a very dark purple with green specs, or at least mine was.

Hi there!
I am crazy about these Tele+
I found one of these not far from home, see below (serial no is N1+6digits).
Is it one of the V1 serie?
What do you think of it (price is EUR 900= not cheap!)?

Hello Telecaster fans,

I have a 1997 telecaster USA plus, v2 (3 gold lace sensors) in red. 5 position,
I have a desire to sell this guitar for lack of play.

I bought It new in 1997 at Guitar Center in Seattle. I really liked the blues, twang and full out strat like sounds in the comfortable tele body.

The guitar is in incredible shape. Finger board barely polishing, frets have minimal wear, no wear on the body and the neck has no chips or cracks ( just a dozen or so micro varnish cracks that have no effect on the wood) The white works on the body are starting to yellow from age, if anything it looks more vintage.

Has the original case, with key... all the locks and latches work perfectly. A little wear from cross country travel.

Contact me if you are interested finding out more about it or want to place an offer.

Not at all, the Lace Sensor pickups are anything but vintage sounding.

I had a Red V1 Plus hardtail, I traded it in for three tone sunburst V1 with vibrato.

BTW absolutely disgusting (in a great way) collection in the picture.

I'm in!

I've got a Plus and love it. Also have these others that kinda fall into the catagory. The red one is a Tele Jr. It has P90's and is neck-thru. The other is a recent acquisition...a relic Stealth Tele made by John English. All 3 sound amazing...

Mystic Black

I am also a lucky owner of a Tele Plus : built in 1993, with two red LS and one blue LS (version 1) , Mystic Black colour, a kind of black with green sparkles when lighted, so beautiful, like a tahitian pearl ! Solid as a tank, and with an incredible range of tones.
I bought it two years ago, and I am now looking for another one, a V1 version, in natural, blue burst or firestorm.
Romag13, what colour is yours ? Did you buy it in Toulon ?

Heres mine, a 93 Tele Plus V1

I love this guitar, it plays well and sounds great. I also have a 91 Strat Ultra with the same Lace sensors plus a Gold in the mid position.
