Mark....my guess is you got the 513th CV made. Or, the 100,513th, but I doubt they'd have shipped that many in the first few weeks. What do you think?

The finish seems fairly thick and The pine seems pretty solid. At least my Tele seems as hard as ash.
It weighs 8.25.pounds with serial number CGS 080100655

What is the 08 = 2008
What is the 100 = place holder for 100 thousand nine hundred ninety nine

I wonder who got # 1000?

You guys are a bad influence.......

I've been lurking here for a while (ever since borrowing a friends MIM standard earlier this spring)

After reading all the hype on the CV I ordered one and also a Superchamp XD
As good as this guitar sounded in the several threads, I figured maybe I would find something I didn't like about it but it's pretty impressive

One thing though. The grain on the neck is awesome! Is this for real or is it a foto flame job?????

This is my first solid body and it joins my meager "collection" of a 1967 Hagstrom Viking deluxe and a 10th Anniversary (1976) Ovation.

This a great forum and I've really been enjoying the tele building threads!!!

Spunky had a good idea on formatting the list. Let's keep using it so we can keep track of how many victims have been claimed and if there are any other neighbors. Here's the list so far:

CGS080100512 DrewB
CGS080100513 Mark
CGS080100536 Dave
CGS080100559 RickC.
CGS080100655 Spunky99
CGS080100660 mcgannahan
CGS080100676 fungusyoung

You could easily keep count using a poll function. Is that something you can add now?

I don't have a CV Tele.

I have plenty of other Teles already, including more than one Squier Standard Tele.

But maybe I'll put one of these on my Christmas wish list.

This is the real deal in the flame, tiger stripe or whatever....

Thanks DrewB for keeping the order straight cause I don't have a clue for the poll function here....Best idea I could come up with in a vacumn....

Plug it in, turn it up, and step back:

you introduced me, to my mind
And left me wanting, you and your kind

Scotland, you haven't added the one that arrived at your house on 11th July to the list - I just wondered how the serial numbers of the UK Vibes would compare with those in the USA? Surely your "mystery supplier" didn't swear you to so much secrecy that you weren't allowed to even show a serial number?....

I'd love to be able to add my own serial number here, but I'm STILL having a difficult time locating ANYONE in the UK who actually HAS a Classic Vibe in stock. It seems that Scotland is the only person in the UK with contacts in very high places who can access these babies.

Talking of which, Scotland, you never responded to this on another related thread:

It would be MUCH appreciated - I've had a very frustrating search so far....

I guess that you'll "have to kill me if you tell me" of course....

Thanks in advance for your kind assistance.
Any chance of helping out a fellow TDPRIer and passing on "the knowledge"?

Thanks!!!

Did everyone besides kp8 get theirs from Musicians Friend? The thought occurred to me when I noticed that the serial numbers span only 199 units right now. It would be interesting to see the factory-to-dealer flow by serial number. Notice that kp8's is the only SN in the 700s at this point, and he is, I think, the only one of us who didn't get his at MF. Vetty intetesting...
