Got mine last November - 25 years a Strat man, still love my Strat but at the moment the Tele is going to all my gigs.

Three-piece body, weighs a ton, sounds like liquid grit. Luvvin it!

I was in the local GC Monday test driving a BOSS ME-70. Since I had other errands that day, I didn't take my gear with me to GC for the test drive, and so I used a AV52RI they have, the same one I've played many times over the last year. I noticed there was a price drop on it, down to $1285. Does anybody know if there is an across the board price drop on 52s at FMIC, or is the one I saw just discounted because it's been hanging around the store too long?

I bought a used 2003 played and handled less than the new one in my local GC store for less money than that. Searching eBay for completed auctions and craigslists near you are probably better than the owner's club link to get an idea of current value. Take the results of your search to the store manager and deal.

If you like or will adjust to the vintage frets and neck you will have a great guitar.

Yeah, I've done the completed eBay auctions/Craig's List thing before to get a sense of current value, just hadn't thought to do it about an AV52RI. I was just trying to figure out if there is an across the board price drop for 52RIs at FMIC or if the one I've played locally is discounted because it hasn't sold in a year or more. Guess I could also search the GC site and answer my question that way.
