ARS Tube ID
I got a couple of 12AX7/7025 tubes on ebay . I know from another post that these were rebranded tubes. Can someone look at the picture and see if they can identify the manufacturer? As you can see in the photo, They are printed horizontally with ARS Van Nuys Calif and 12ax7a/7025 in white lettering. On the side 12AX7A is printed vertically in red lettering. They have what look like short grey plates and a square getter with a flat raised dimple on the bottom of the getter.

That tin cross rod/shielding on the side makes it look chinese or russian. But, I thought ARS went out of business in the 70's?? That would be prior to the chinese and russian market. Dont recall any chinese square getters..
Curious...I will look around later today...just out of curiosity.

I only paid $10.00 plus $4 for shipping so it's not too bad. I was under the impression that ARS was not
in business any more as well, so I thought they might be older tubes. Oh well. Live and learn. R

Well, according to that link they sell for around $16-$19 apiece, so I guess I didn't do too bad. I will try them out and see how they sound.
