Can't add link title to link

I want to add a link title to a link. When I click on the Insert Link icon, (globe with a link), it will first pop up the screen to enter text but it only appears for about 1 second then disappears and is replaced by the pop up where you paste the link. You have not time to add the link title before the box disappears.

What am I doing wrong?

Thanks

The easy way:
 • Type out your comments.
 • Highlight the word(s) you want to be the link.
 • Then click the link icon
 • Paste the URL in the pop-up box.
This will create the code for the link and (blue text) title.

I'm not sure what problem you are having to cause the symptom you are describing. I just tested it and when clicking on the globe/link icon the URL entry box comes up and remains in place until I close it.

Normally I do this manually.

Simply type The wording you want to become the link you click on

And that will make a link with the wording you want.
