New software

Will the new software have a URL linker that provides a typing space rather than the exact URL.

The reason I ask is that the links folks put on now stretch the page out even though the pix does shrink once loaded.
It sure makes it hard tew read. I haff been typin with short lines jes so folks kin read without haffin ta skroll all the way over.
Lots of links are waaaaaayyyy wide and long.
Jes wunnerin!! ---0.F.--- |

I noticed that.
If folks know they have a long link, one quick thing to do is go to http://www.makeashorterlink.com/
It's quick, easy, and free! Just paste you're link in a box and it gives you a pointer link from their site that is much shorter that you can paste into your post. That is what we do on another discussion board I am on, but it is only about 30 people and much easier to get everyone to do something like this.

Sorry
There is no possible way to do this automatically here. It works for photos... but only on certain browsers. But it can't work for links. I tried setting the "wrap" command to "hard" to force these onto more than one line but then the link gets broke.
It's not a problem for users at 1024 by 768 of which approximately 60% of the users are at right now. Have you tried using a high screen setting? Thanks Paul Green |
