So, I'm looking a thread here and run across a post I posted before. The thing is, I'm not logged in. But, that little green light by my original post is all lit up (indicating that I'm present). But... I'm not logged in. Spooky. How do it know?

(Apologies for the bad grammar... a reference to someone I used to work with.)

I think it's all down to cookies .

You mean the "green" button that shows you are online at that time?

It is the cookie on your system -- but you must be logged in via the cookie and not realize it.
