I have come across a minor problem with the captcha image when using the search function (not logged in). It seems that about 20 percent of the images generated are unreadable.

I tested about 30 images. 3 images had contrast problems where a foreground character was the same color as the background, and 3 images where one of the characters was off the edge of the image. I only noticed this because I got two unuseable images in a row while doing a search.

There may not much that can be done to modify the image generating software behaviour, and is not an issue when logged in, but I thought I would bring this to your attention.
