Attaching image in new post previously used in old post?

Searched but couldn't find the answer.

Posted a new reply in a new thread, tried to attach a pic (small) I'd used in an earlier thread that I started, as the subject matter was similar. It started to upload, then I got an "upload error" message, telling me the image had already been used in a previous post, with a link to that post.

So I tried again, same result. Does this mean you cannot post the same picture twice, but most go back and grab that link or image previously posted and somehow insert it?

Sorry to ask, tried to find the answer here but couldn't. Thanks much,

I had the same experience and have the same question. It would be convenient to able to post the same pic twice, since contexts change.

No you can't post the same photo twice.

Paul
PS. Of course, you could simply rename the photo and post it a second time.

An option is using a link, instead of an attachment. Put your photo in the gallery, or something like Photobucket. Then you can insert the image multiple times.
