Why is Soulmate Calculator ad running on this website..... or maybe I should ask what is it. I went part way through it until I reached a point where by continuing I was agreeing to the following terms and conditions.

The ads below the previous/next thread links, and the ones above the forum jump box are generated randomly by google from certain words that appear on that page of the TDPRI, Paul has no control over what ad will be there.

I am not sure but ...

... could it be that the nature of these ads is driven by the types of searches forumites execute?

Just a thought.

Me -- I can scroll past ads as easily as the next person. If it helps pay for servers I am cool with it.

Guilty. I've been doing searches for "soulmate" and "calculator" around here quite a bit lately. Not both at the same time however. Still, this "soulmate calculator" has me wondering what I'm missing.

To be honest, I wonder how internet advertizing as any affect at all. If you put me in a computerless room, I'd be hard pressed to tell you where the ads were on the TDPRI. My brain just filters them out.

I just noticed that one today and added it to the filter list. It takes a while for the filter to take effect. It should go away soon.

I have no control over those ads and 80% of the time they seem to be targeted correctly.

Why www.TheSoulmateCalculator.com wants to pay for ads on the TDPRI is beyond me. But the TDPRI made about $.21 cents from you clicking on the ad to see what it was all about. Thanks!

Artificially clicking the ads can get me thrown out of their program. It happens all the time. It's a huge no-no. Please don't do me a favor that costs me the TDPRI. I know you're trying to help. But Google is constantly on the lookout for repeated clicks from the same IP address to look for "click fraud."
