Stretched Images in posts
I just posted an image in a thread, and it appears stretched and distorted. I opened the same image url in a new window and it was fine. Is this software adding image size tags arbitrarily? I have no control over this type of thing.

The software does alter the appearance of photo to insure that they aren't so big that they break the page. Most likely, since you've previewed the photo on your computer (browser) at the full resolution that your browser is handing you a cached version and resizing it too. I would think that this applies only to your computer. The photos of your guitar in the "non-Fender" thread look fine to me here.
If the size altering software wasn't working your SUPER LARGE photo nearly 1400 pixels wide would break that entire thread for everyone that tried to view it. It's always best to resize photos down to a manageable size -- anything wider than 700 pixels is too wide. |
