In all the PMs I have received, the gallery link indicates the user has 39 photos, regardless how many that user has. PMs from users with no photos in the gallery say those users have 39 photos.

Looking at this optimistically: The link works, so having it there as it is now is better than having no link.

(So thanks for going to the effort to do this integration!)
