link takes me to thread top vs. end

Just in the last couple of days I've noticed an anomaly with the links in emails I get to threads I'm subscribed to. It seems like the first time I go to one of them after starting a new session, it takes me to the beginning of the thread rather than to the end or new post. If I close that window and click on the link from my email a second time, it takes me appropriately to the end or new post.

It seems to happen with threads that are all on one page as well as with threads that spread across multiple pages.

It's happening on multiple computers, all of which have XP and IE.

I made a change yesterday that could have caused this to happen briefly. If it happened before then, or doesn't fix itself within the next few days let me know.

I changed the way post URLs are formated... and I changed the way the software keeps track of read posts.

Both of these things could cause this problem for as much as 2 or 3 days while the database of read threads gets caught up.
