Problem renewing ad in Garage Sale

Paul, I'm having trouble renewing my ad in the Garage Sale. I clicked on the link in the email message first but couldn't see a link or button giving me the opportunity to renew the ad. I checked it 3 times and still can't figure it out. I tried the search engine to see if anyone else had this problem but couldn't find anything. Is there something I'm overlooking?

Thanks,
Brian

I'm not possitive, but I think when you click on the link you renew the ad. That's all it takes.

Can you point out the ad? Give me the category, and the ad title. I'll check it for you.

Paul, I've been having the same problem, unfortunately the ads have since expired so I can't provide a link. But everytime I followed the instructions for renewal it didn't work.

On a possibly related note, the last 2 ads of mine to expire have been listed as "Sold!" This one, for instance. I never flagged them as such, but maybe it means someone's sending money to me as we speak.:-) Thanks, Paul!

I've worked on this and just can't seem to get a solution. I've been told that the reason that ads get marked sold when they expire is that "users are accidently setting the ad up as an auction and when the auction ends it's automatically marked sold."

I don't think that's what's happening, but that's what the software people have said to me.

I don't think that's what's happening either. I saw that check box and I didn't check it, and yet a couple of my ads that expired with no sale ended up being marked sold.

Will these problems become OBE (overcome by events) when we switch to vBulletin?

I don't think so. vB may fix many forum related problems and the interface to the Gallery, et al, should be smoother and more complete. But I don't think it will solve this one.

I'm buried right now in the vB import test and getting the new server provisioned. So, this problem has been moved to the back burner.

Sorry.
