New format in Classifieds section?

For about the last week or so the appearance of the Classifieds page changed (for me, anyway?).

Not a complaint by any means, but an opinion. I preferred the way it looked before, the classifiactions appeared on one page, and you could quickly scroll down and see where there had been activity. Now, to get to guitar parts, for example, you have to drill down through Classifieds > Guitar Parts > Other Parts for Sale > etc.

Or, have I mangled some Preference setting that changes how this looks?

Thanks!

Hi thanks. Yes, we're trying out a new way of displaying the Classifieds. We used to show images of about 10% of our listing and this new method shows about 40% of the total items for sale right on the home page.

Images do a much better job of selling items for sale. So we are testing this out -- using less menus and more images of items for sale. We think this will result in more and quicker sales for our sellers and enhance the process for our buyers.

I prefer the old format by a large margin.
I'd go through it by category, like Pickups and check all the listings out.
Now it's like trying to find some elusive bolt in a box full of random parts, if there's organization, I don't see it.
Sorry, but not a fan of the new look. I've stopped even looking through the listings the last few days.

If it's too much trouble for you simply bookmark the Pickup listings.

Here's a link for you. So, you don't have to hunt for it:

Hi,
I look at the classifieds on every visit. And buy things occasionally. The new setup does allow me to see more at a glance and that's good, esp. for the seller.

But it takes a whole lot more clicks to get the specific listing pages and that's bad. I'm basically a buyer.

I prefer easier navigation.

As I suggested previously... bookmarks are your friend all over the internet, not just here.

I like the new format, but I browse more than buy/sell/trade.

I agree. I used to look at the classifieds every day, sometimes several times a day. With the way it is now, I stopped looking. I will occassionally go back for force of habit, bum out and then leave immediately. I hope you change it back.

Leave it as it currently is.
I for one, like it.

Sorry for the criticism.
Please don't change it on my account.

Can make do as is, but older format was much much better for browsing.

I also agree. I have been using the newer format for a month or so but still vastly prefer the original format, which was much easier to navigate.

The classifieds are now appearing on a single page. For what it's worth, I like it!

Really? I'd given up on it.
I guess I'll start looking at the Classifieds again.
