We have implimented a test of the "Thread Preview on Hover" feature in our software. When you visit a forum index and hover your mouse over thread title you'll see the first couple of sentences from the OP (original post) in the thread.

We used to have this set up here many years ago, but then we stopped to make the site load faster as we grew larger and larger. However, we've been optimizing our server and thought we should probably give this feature another test.

So, we are reactivating this for a test.

Keep in mind, if this feature impairs the website by swamping our server we'll need to turn this feature off again. So, don't count on this being a permanent change until we do some more testing.

PS. This feature applies to viewing the forum in a web browser -- not via the Mobile Apps.

ya i don't mind it but it does get annoying.......but please don't do the popup thing complete with avatars and most of the post with it like some forums have (Gibson Guitar Board comes to mind). When those popups come you have to close them to see what other thread are about/titles

i see this feature is disabled again. i guess it required too many resources. oh well, thanks for trying.

and it's back. maybe it was my browser or something at my end.

I quite like it. But maybe it's just me, it only works on the new posts and not in the individual forums.
