banned?

I get a message stating that I have been banned from the forums when come to the site from my home network. I can do everything when I attach from my office.

What's up?

Your home computers IP address is close enough to someone else that was banned that it's effecting you.

Sorry, this happens ocassionally and unless you change your ISP you will likely not ever see this fixed.

Every single person using Comcast in ABQ has this problem. Sorry. It's the only way to keep out a bad guy that has caused a lot of damage around here.

There is nothing I can do about it. Comcast has very few IP addresses in ABQ and so you are caught like everyone else there.

There are at least 3 other TDPers in your situation.

Banned?

Are banning an entire range of addresses?
I have a non static address but the router is always on so it
neve changes. Can you allow access to a specific address through?

Actually I'm not banning a large range. The software is just not capable of being selective enough. Its not like a firewall. No I can't let just one IP address through. If I could I certainly would.

Nothing can be done about this I'm afraid.
