You've Been Banned Message...

Let's say an entire Internet provider for a city is banned from these forums. If someone using that provider, trys to access these forums, a page opens with the following message:

"You have been banned from this forum. Please contact the webmaster or board administrator for more information."

There's no link on that page for him to contact the webmaster or board administrator.

Yes, there is no link on that page. I get hundreds of emails that are TDPRI related. I don't need more emails. Especially in a situation that I can't fix for someone.

Why tell someone to contact the webmaster if there's no way to do so. Why not remove that part of the banned statement.

Here's another point. Let's say someone hears about TDPRI and decides to check it out. If he happens to be using the banned Internet provider, when he trys to access the site he is told that he is banned and has no way to find out why and is never able to access the site.

Ah ........... just thought of something. Providing information might inform a certain person how to get in.

Paul .............. feel free to delete this post if you wish.

It may seem that simple to you. But the software is huge with hundreds and hundreds of inter-realted pages and subfiles.

I have no idea where those words are or what page creates them.

You are thinking too simply to think that I wrote them, control them or have any input on them.

Sorry, I see your point, but in a city the size of ABQ there are never more then 3 or 4 TDPers -- out of nearly 8,000 worldwide. Taking care of the 8,000 is by far my focus.
