search issues

I encountered something odd when doing a search for "Hot Rod" trying to find the thread for the 52 Hot Rod club . . . when I do such a search, whether in all open forums or just the Guitar Clubs forum, I get the response: Sorry - no matches. Please try some different terms. Is this maybe because the words

It doesnt matter whether I search for threads or posts, or entire posts or just titles.

But there is a thread with such words, which I found by going through the Guitar Clubs thread listings . . . and there are certainly other posts with the words hot rod (including the one I started yesterday), so I thought I would mention this anomaly for you admins.

Is this maybe due to the words being too short, only 3 letters? Note that I get the same results when trying to search for "Hot Rod" with quotes as well.

Is there any way to search for such terms with short words? Thanks. . . .

The forum's built in search function ignores any word less than 4 letters long.

Under the Search tab on the blue bar towards the top of the page is a Google Search, this should give you the results you're looking for. :)

Here are the results for Hot Rod:
