Posts Removed -- Why?

I'd like to know why my two posts were removed 4 or 5 days ago. The subject of the thread was "Why Relic?" I posted a picture of my reliced guitar and it was removed.

You had nothing to do with the posts being removed.

Someone posted on a 5 year old Relic thread and brought it back up from our Archives. You happened along behind that person and posted without noticing that you had posted on a thread that had been dead since 2004.

We don't want people posting on 5 year old threads and when a moderator saw the thread he removed all the "new" posts that had been placed on the old thread. This allowed the thread to sink back down into the Archives.

You did it twice, hence your posts were removed twice.

We don't notify everyone involved when this happens -- only the person that made the initial mistake of posting a new post on a very old thread.

Also, the next time you have a question like yours in this thread -- don't attach it to someone else's thread please start your own.

I've removed your question and my answer from the other thread you attached your question to and now created a new thread.

(PS. I removed the three other answers that were posted here by others because this is NOT a forum for general discussion. It is a forum for asking a question and getting an answer from the administration.)
