Forum Confusion

I have to admit to some confusion about the new "Owners" forums---especially the "Amp Owners." I don't know when to go there and when to go to the older Amplifier site we have here.
Do we really need both...?

There has been a flurry of new forums set up lately. I'm sure there is a lot of overlap as to which forum any specific can fit into.
I always just click the 'New Posts' button and see what's new in all of them.

"Amp Owners" was set up for the Clubs. I think the club threads were getting lost in the main forums.

They are two separate things.

Amp Central Station is where you post about amps in general.

The Amp Owners Club is where you find or start a "club" thread about a specific amp you own to more or less register your preference for that specific amp. It's not for general amp discussion.

The Owners Club section arose out of the fact that people that owned a specific guitar or amp started new threads in the generic amp or Tele section simply declaring that they owned a specific item and wanted others that also owned the item to "roll-call."

As these "club" threads became more and more ubiquitous we created a separate section to move them to out of the generic forums and into their own special area.

You don't really ever have to visit the Owners Club to discuss your amp or anything else. It is really only for the specific purpose of posting in a roll-call thread.

Hope this clears things up.
