Why am I suddenly getting certain words in green and underlined on this forum?

like "purchase" or "good deal" or celeberties names? Is it something I need to turn off?

Are they 'clickable'?....Could be something was downloaded on your system....try Spyware eliminators.

When you drag your mouse over the highlighted words it brings up a search engine. Maybe the forum has embedded the search engine. Perhaps the moderators will weigh in. Personally, I intensely dislike things that make stuff pop up on my screen.

I'm suddenly getting the green underlined words in this forum, too.. Annoying. What gives?

Just checked it out, it is this:

http://www.vibrantmedia.com/whatisIn...intellitxt.com

Apparently it is TDPRI sanctioned. If it's used to draw the site money, ok, but it is annoying as sh@t.

Sorry only non-members are supposed to see those. If you are logged in you won't see them. Just setting them up today in a Trial with Bing. Just testing them. But for NON-LOGGED IN ONLY.

I guess during the Test I accidently showed them to members for a few minutes. They should be correct now.

I don't log-in a lot when I'm just perusing the forum.
I for one would personally not like to have to look at that stuff(?)
Your forum, your option. Just my opinion.

Logged in members always see less ads. You should set your account to automatically log you in.

Your browser, your option. I'm just saying.

If the ads pay to keep the lights on and the doors open then I'm sure we can all live with them.

Cheers

No one should have to live with them except "guests" unregistered and unlogged-in.

It was simply a glitch that they showed up at all. We were testing out the code and found a typo. Within a few minutes we fixed the typo and they are gone for everyone that logs in.

For the record non-logged in see about 50% more ads than logged in people.

In fact, that's one of the ways we get people to stop lurking and register!
