Logging in and out

I have noticed that for the last few days I seem to remain logged in when I
go to other sites, even when I shut down at the end of the day. Before I
would have to sign in anew every time. I like this better, did something change
or is this some sort of fluke? Thanks LB

When logging in you've clicked the "Remember Me" box, which is next to where you type your username/password. This stops you from logging out automatically.

Thanks, I did not know that about the box. I did check it.
I'm a bit of a Luddite when it comes to computers. Would the
forum be happier if I logged out when I close out? On any given day I check out the threads many times and it was a bit
a pain to recheck in every time. I'm more than happy to do
whatever the wonderful folks who run this forum would prefer.
Thanks again. LB

No need to log out. Your login automatically expires within 30 mins of your last action on the page. But a cookie that has been placed on your system will automatically log you in when you return... from the same computer. When you visit from a different computer you'll have to log in again manuall because the log in cookie doesn't follow you around personally.
