Search problems

I am having trouble searching for specific phrases on this forum using the search techniques that are common on other forums.

Let's say I want to search for posts containing the specific phrase Nashville Deluxe. I have tried both "Nashville Deluxe" and +Nashville +Deluxe, and in either case, I get all kinds of posts referring to either Nashville or Deluxe, rather than the specific phrase.

What am I doing wrong?

Using our stock search there really isn't a way to search for Nashville AND deluxe without getting posts containing one or the other.

Use the Google search.

We are looking at new search engines, but they are not yet ready for us to implement.

I'm glad I finally found your post - I've found the stock search engine so bad as to be unusable. In fact, I nearly abandoned using the site altogether.

Perhaps you should explain the stock engine's (rather severe) limitations in the search page. Would save a lot of annoyance I'd bet.

Thanks.

We've been making some changes and improvements in the search engine. I think you'll find it's working better in the past few days.
