I have no problem putting pics on a forum thread, but I can't seem to get them uploaded to "My Album". It says they were uploaded successively, but they aren't there. I do have some pics in my album that I downloaded a long time ago, but I'll be darn how I did it.

Your photos are probably just too large. What sizes are you trying to upload? Just because your digital camera can take photos 2,500 px by 2,500 px doesn't mean that they are suitable for posting on a website. You need to edit them down to a reasonable size.

They are not large at all (72 x 160) I have no trouble putting them in forum threads, its just uploading them to "My Photos". Any other suggestions?
ps: I have 7 photos in there now and I have tried starting another Album in case the first was full, but still can't get them to upload. I am uploading from photobucket.

There's your problem right there. You can only upload from your computer, not from photobucket.
