Does the TDPRI software "prefer" one browser over another??

I've had this happen numerous times but never mentioned it until now.

I am using Firefox (the newest version) and I JUST got through responding to a post. I was signed in, but the software must have timed me out because, when I pushed "send" (or "submit quick answer" or whatever the designation is to post) I had to re-enter name and password. Instead of returning me to my post my screen went white (not a computer problem) and the message just disappeared. I tried paging back, but the posting area was blank when I did.

Do I need to use Internet Explorer in here?

Thanks

No it doesn't. Sounds like you have an issue on your end.

If you take longer than 15 mins to write a post or do anything at all the system can assume you've simply left the website and close down your connection to it. It obviously can't keep people connected when they don't seem to still be here. When you are typing in a post box, that's happening on your computer, not on our server. So, the TDPRI's server has no idea that you are typing.

I use nothing but Firefox and about 40% of our visitors use Firefox.

Thanks for the response. I use Firefox for just about everything, too.

I've since posted a couple of times, so I guess whatever was happening has straightened itself out.
