Photo Size Question

Not a real problem or issue, but...

I want to upload some pics, but I don't want them to be too big. What's the size limit? I've looked for it in the posting guidlines, rules, and FAQ, but didn't find it. I know there's a limit but I can't remember what it is.

If you 'Go Advanced' and click on the paperclip attachment thingy, it opens a window that tells you all the acceptable attachment sizes.

Along with this question I have tried to download pics to my gallery and I keep getting the 100 X 100 pixels message when they are over that size. Anybody have any ideas why?

Gary, your terminology must be off here.

Do you mean you were uploading an Avatar to your Profile?

The Gallery... known as the TelePhoto Gallery, has huge size limits per photo. I don't remember off the top of my head but something like 1200 pixels by 1200 pixels.

The Avatar in your Profile has small 100 by 100 limits.

So, what is it... exactly... that you are trying to do?

A good size limit for web photos is 800 pixels wide by 600 pixels tall.

True, but I've found that unless you need the size for a reason, 640x480 does just fine...

Well, I tried to upload a picture for my personal gallery and I received a message telling me that the picture was too small, it needed to be 100 X 100 pixels. I know it is at least 100 X 100 so I was just wondering what I was doing wrong. How am I screwing up?
