Suggestion: Mobile Version of TDPRI

Would it be possible to have a mobile link to the TDPRI? I know it's possible with various forum software and I think vBulletin can too. This way we can have our fix on the go!

Thanks

With a Treo, it certainly would help to pass the time on the train... :)

I'm planning on implementing this after the upgrade to the newer software.

I'm in testing right now. I've found a mod for the upgraded software that auto detects mobile devices and pushes a special light version of the forum.

For now, try using the RSS feeds. You'll find RSS links for each forum on the main index of all the forums. Just copy the URL down and enter that into your mobile device RSS Reader.

Also, check out the "Archive" the link is: http://www.tdpri.com/forum/archive/index.php/

This upgrade is a MAJOR upgrade and I've set up a DEV forum to test everything. It's still a few weeks away.

That's awesome Paul! I hope it works out.

I actually just took a trip to Calgary with my new Blackberry. Enjoyed checking TDPRI while waiting for my planes. A lite version would be awesome.

Nothing right now.

I installed mobile versions on our dev site we use for testing and in some ways was OK but in most ways it made it too hard to navigate and read posts. I'm hoping newer versions will improve upon this feature.

There has been a company working on iPhone apps for our software but these have not been released yet.

The gearpage have a style that works pretty well and you both run the same software I believe.

Maybe they would share the dev

If we do, I vote for a new rule--full words only, no text abbreviations just because you're typing on a mobile device!
