Relic Forum
To prevent further issues with threads concerning Relics, it might be a good idea to start a Relic section?
I do not own a Relic, however I think they are often great looking guitars and there is a large contingency of posters that like them, as well as a group that can't see a Relic thread without sarcastic comments. It may move those threads out of the general Tele section and promote conflict resolution? |

All that is really needed is for the anti-relic brigade to just ignore the relic threads and click "Next", instead of feeling duty-bound to drop into every relic thread and say those same old boring words "Relicing? I just don't get it....". In the last relic-related flame war, one of our members quoted some VERY sensible words that just about sum it all up. So that I never forget them, I have made them the second part of my signature line. If ever I see someone say "I just don't get it", I offer those words. It usually works a treat.....

What about substituting the phrase "broken in" for "relic"? I like guitars that are already broken in for me. The neck feels nice and smooth and you don't have worry about putting that first ding in it.

I suggest a "Penalty Box" forum. Instead of suspending users, only allow them to post to the one subforum, so we can all still laugh at them.
