Do you know what this forum needs!!
We need a Library Section.
I was on Blindman's Blues Forum (of course not as good as this one) and they had a library section. It was great. Everybody would post listing books that were good to read. They listed their favorite books on the blues-non-fiction, and novels that related to the blues that were a good read - fiction. I took down all of them and plan to buy them. We could also include CD recommendations and magazine articles to read, etc. It would be great to hear what you guys think are good books to read. For instance I just bought the bio on Slash and The Dirt on MotleyCrue, both those of course being non-fiction. Does anyone know any good books to read?? I'm reading Zen Guitar by Philip Toshio Sudo right now. I got it off of one of the posts on this forum. Just an idea that could really turn up some good reads. Just an idea. |

May I add to your suggestion - recommended websites.
There are so many relevant sites and such a range of quality that trying to search via Google is a real hit & miss affair. Websites are easy to link to, cost nothing to access and are cross-border so no problem for recommending to members around the globe. They should be fairly easy to catagorise - technique, hardware, fan sites, artists own sites etc though probably best to ban commercial links. It would also be a one-stop place to find other members own websites and their links to recent performance, reviews and upcoming gigs etc. |

I was going to say "more cowbell," but your idea is great too. Always looking for a good book to read.

you have no idea how much fun you're going to have with "The Dirt"
That book is fantastic. Two words: Egg Burrito

furr, thanks for telling me that. I'll read it next. When I'm done I'll find you so I can have a laugh re:Egg Burrito! Also, I heard it's now out of Print. Have you heard that? That's what the chick said at the bookstore, I got their last copy. Actually the moderators should have a look at Blindman's Blues Forum and use some of their forums as a guide to what things are missing here. Can you imagine??? It would probably make this the best site out there. It already is in my mind but I'd gladly like to see a little expantion on other things to discuss related to music/tele's etc.
