Looking good already!
Umm, can a country idiot like me really make a Warmoth body look like it came from the Fender factory? I'm itching to do my first build, but the paint job portion scares me. I'm considering buying a finished body instead. In His Grip... |

This is my first time working with rattle cans and its not bad.when you decide upon a color buy two cans of it. Practice on scrap with one can til you get it right as far as flow and how you want it to look. Once you have that then move on to the actual body. At least that has been my approach. I believe its completely possible for a country bumpkin like ourselves to get a nice finish. Im thinking of putting a bit of ghost pearl in with my clear to give it just a lil more sparkle.

thanks guys for all the compliments. The weather is crap here right now so the rest of the clears will have to wait a bit. Silly rain. Id rather have the snow. :) Until then here's a couple more pics. One with no flash and one indoors. I had a ding or two that Im having to touch up..DOnt ask I was stupid when I went to hang it to dry.

I know alot of traditionalist will have fit but I wanted to add a bit more flavor to this build so im adding this waterslide decal on the body. (over the ding I couldnt get lined out). Where it had the red base then the gold pearl over it..it just wasnt happening. So I decided since I am a woman and Im making myself a hot rod gutar why not slap something on it to represent the strong side of women ? Dont flame me too much all you traditionalist out there.
I havent decided on what color pickguard . I am thinking either aged white or black. its gonna have chrome hardware on it. suggestions??
