Dot Marker Size Question?

I intend to strip and refinish a maple tele neck and replace the black dot markers with some abalone ones. The diameter of the regular dots is 6mm but what is the thickness / depth into the board? A seller on ebay has some 1.3mm thick, are these the correct size?

Help Please.

That's pretty much the standard, 1.3mm = .050"
