Minwax red mahogany over wipe on poly
Will this work? i have about 20 coats of minwax wipe on poly on a sugar pine body. If i apply the minwax red mahogany, will it take?
I thought about it too late, im thinking i should have applied it on bare wood or over sealer first. Ideally id like to put some more wipe on poly over it, enough to give it a nice gloss once its finished.

It is almost impossible to wipe on a toner (colored clear coat) and get even coloration.
Your best bet might be to get a spray on toner. Woodcraft stores often have the Mohawk/Behlen products. |
