Finishing a neck

So I acquired this neck off of gfs for $20 because they state it was a blemish neck. After cutting the head stock I have yet to determine how to finish it. Any suggestions?

After doing some research I ordered some "Fender neck amber" and some clear coat from ReRanch. I have not used them yet but the folks that have seem to be pleased.
