Eccentric? possibly, but it's kept me amused...

Yes, it's (loosely) a strat, I know, not a tele, but I wanted to post it on here because the folks on this forum have been my sole inspiration through this build! this is my 2nd build (1st one was a tele) , and it is from a kit, but it's been heavily modded and also took a lot of work because it turned out the kit didn't fit together at all well.

I've been reading the posts from folks like Ron Kirn, and it's kept me going through lots of the trials and tribulations that you're all familiar with. And yes, it's a left-handed strat strung as a righty, with a right-handed Floyd rose. I'm sure Jimi would have had a Floyd on his guitars these days ;), but what I never appreciated was how much it must have hurt his forearms, playing a strat upside down - the control knobs chafe you arm!

Finishing this has been interesting, as the hand-painted designs were farily 3D, and poked up when I started to sand it down - doesn't seem to have prevented getting a reasonably smooth finish - hard to see from the photo but it's quite shiny!

So thanks everyone - much appreciated.
