sampling my dye mix
Hey All,
I'm going to start applying color to my curly maple veneer Tele body on Sunday. I'm going to be going for an amber hue and I'm going to be mixing med brown, yellow and scarlet dyes bought from re-ranch. I'm going to be spraying it with a preval sprayer. Now I received this body with a coat of sealer on it, but sanded this off and put a nice coat of tru-oil on it. let that dry and hit it with 3 coats of deft sanding sealer, tomorrow I'll sand it smooth and apply a couple more coats. I've got a question though, I want to check my dye mix and need to spray some samples. finding maple has proven to be difficult around town and i want to know what you all think i should use to check my color before spraying the body. Thanks in advance. |
